The Little Marvin microscope is fun to use but a bit hard for a just 6 year old. Finding the object in the frame was surprisingly difficult. The power was great.

It was a really cool birthday gift that was loved.
Our 7 year old initially found this very entertaining. As many children at this age are, he was excited at first, and since he received other gifts, this somewhat fell by the wayside. Once we reminded him about this and continued to offer suggestions of what he might see under the microscope, he grew more excited and realized that this is an ongoing tool that is both educational and fun.

I hesitated to purchase, but I absolutely LOVE the miniscope and miniscope pro. I didn't think it would work as well as it does. I'm happy that I decided to purchase them both. I purchased them as a gift for my grandsons. Both worked perfectly straight out of the box. So easy to get started. If they love them half as much as I do, it will still be the perfect gift.
My 6 yr old grandson loved this mini scope and the slides! Takes a minute for shipping but I ordered early enough for his birthday. Would order again!

Hi Little Marvin, I’m a teacher librarian at the University Prince Edward Island’s Faculty of Education. I bought the microscopes for our BEd students and our summer literacy camps. They were a HUGE hit with both adults and kids. This week one of our professors used them in a workshop at a province wide conference with teachers from K-12…HUGE hit and they were ordering them while still in the workshop.
